Dissociative Identity Disorder

I've always been intrigued by DID/MPD. It's rare as hell apparently, but I was watching some youtube videos and I cam across this lovely woman and her story is very interesting. I came across a couple others and it mainly seemed like they were attention-seeking or playing "make-believe"; playing acting parts rather than true switching. And I don't mean seeing the switch, per se... just the diff "personalities".

I wanted to share her vid and this is the first one I watched. I might have a confusing crush on her American accented alter (all of her alters are male, btw). After that I watched a cool interview special on her. I'd love any input on this subject!

altho I don't know a lot about it, I've been arguing with fellow youtubers for the past several days about a video vice posted. the lady in question has mpd, and people are saying it's not a real illness.

they think it's an attention seeking illness like munchausen syndrome.

I believe it's rare as well.
and I definitely believe it exists, because there is evidence...isn't that simple science?
the cases that have been evaluated were documented and pored over. and who the hell would want to live that way? suffering like that with blackouts, amnesia, etc. let alone the stigma involved.

if you're curious about the video in particular I'm referencing it's...

the lady is an artist and she's a creative spirit and a gentle soul.
