Learny Learnington

So I made my first little "tribute page" from scratch using the stuff I learned on freeCodeCamp. You can see it here: https://codepen.io/mal3ficent/pen/zPbRBO. I chose Elizabeth Bathory. The assignment was a tribute page, with a graphic and an outbound link. I fooled around with margins and padding, borders and backgrounds. Luckily I already knew some of this stuff.

I don't feel ready for the next challenge. It's a portfolio page and I'm not comfortable with image layouts such as rows and columns, etc... So before I proceed I'm going to do the free HTML and CSS courses on . I think I chose to forego pursuing programming languages. I took a glance and my brain wants to melt down into a storm drain.

I started using freeCodeCamp in order to learn something new. I have basic, basic HTML knowledge which actually started in the days of LJ when I would make my own LJ themes. It was also helpful on Myspace when you could go in and change the css and make the themes your own. Once that went away my learning ceased.

I just finished up the HTML and CSS lessons and now I'm on to Bootstrap. Looking ahead in the lessons has me quite intimidated but one step at a time, as they say. It's quite tedious, but something for the resume?
