I had a client that booked with me and I had never massaged her before. When we got in the room she said that she'd been coming for years and saw me walking around one day and "liked my vibe" so she requested me. How cool is that? She had a great energy about her and she pre-booked with me again, so that's cool.

I made my first client cry. Luckily it was a good cry and not something bad! She came in all crumpled because she was having the worst headache. After my massage, in which I focused on some points that relieve headaches, she came out and I told her I hope her headache feels better. She looked at me and she's like "This headache has been here for days and this is the first time I've felt so good. I wish I could hug you!" Then she started crying and I was like AWWWWWWWWWWWIES and hugged her. That was somethin' else.

Sometimes certain clients are such a pleasure and/or genuinely helped by what I do, and that's what makes me love it. It's hard not to notice other therapists that don't seem into what they're doing at all, so why do it? I'm starting to build regular clientele so I'll be steady freddy before I know it. Not to mention season is coming... I'm glad giving massages counts as going to the gym according to me!

[community profile] questionoftheday asks: Is there something that, no matter what, never fails to annoy you? Tell me what really grinds your gears.

My answer: The sound of people chewing or any mouth noises for that matter. This also applies to dogs licking themselves. It drives me bat-shit.
