Because I waited on my wisdom teeth, because they were "just trying to get my money", I have to get a coronectomy from an oral surgeon this Friday because two nerves are running over the root of the tooth. Luckily it's just one tooth and it's lower so I won't have to worry about my sinuses getting fucked up.

Honestly, the thing I am most nervous about it the twilight sedation. I have never gotten that before so just nervous about the unknown, even though I know I will be out of it and won't care or remember after.

The pain should be significant, and while I get Norcos, I won't be able to take them on an empty stomach and won't be able to fill my stomach with something substantial.

I am going to take motrin and THC syrup instead.

Oh man, that sucks. I hope your surgeon is very careful and the surgery goes well without complication. I waited a bit too long to get mine out too, and I had top and lower ones near a nerve. Ended up with some chronic sinus issues as a result, and permanent numbness in a corner of my lower lip. : ( I went to a dentist instead of an oral surgeon to get it done, and regret doing so.

The twilight/conscious sedation wasn't too bad. I don't like how there's slight purposeful amnesia from it though. I remember the pain wasn't so bad after, it was more trying to make sure I did the right things to make sure the healing went right and prevented post-procedure complications or infections. I hope all goes well for you.

I too waited it out.
I had mine removed when I was 30, after my daughter was born.
mine weren't causing any pain or damage, just jutting into other teeth.

my regular old dentist took 'em out, no sedation of any kind required.
he numbed me up and that was that!

afterwards, it wasn't the pain that bothered me, it was the pressure.

good luck <3

that sucks.

I mean, you might've been brutalized, I don't want to jump to any conclusions because everyone's body is different.

I will tell you that I didn't have any stitches, and nothing happened to my cheeks...

Twilight Sedation freaked me out -- but you will be fine. I freaked out as I started to go under and the nurse calmed me down. Next thing I know, I was waking up with a numb mouth. You will be fine! <3
